Solar tracker simulator - Operating part
TRACSOL-OP is an operational unit designed to study the automation of a solar tracker.
It must be directly connected to a programmable logic controller (PLC) via 4mm safety terminals.
An electric actuator allows for vertical (zenithal) orientation, and a geared motor allows for horizontal (azimuth) orientation.
They are controlled by 24VDC relays and have their own limit switches on dry contacts.
The location of the strongest light source is determined by four MODBUS RTU RS-485 light sensors.
The solar panel is simulated by a PVC plate.
